Autumn in Appalachia

I live in the foothills of the Appalachian mountains and Autumn is always a wonder around here! The colors that are displayed in this little corner of the world are just amazing! I tried to capture just a fraction of the beauty that Mother Nature displays in this colorful design. Shows many trees in autumn colors of orange, red, gold and green. A tiny bird sits in the piles of leaves under the trees, as well as a small pumpkin. A gold moon hangs above. All surrounded by a primitive "wood" border. So pretty! Model stitched on 14 count fiddler light fabric and is stitched in DMC brown (801), green (937), orange (920), gold (3852) and red (304). Feel free to substitute fabric and colors to your taste. All stitches are cross stitch. Stitch count is 50 high and 92 wide. Copyright 2009, all rights reserved.
