Triangles within Triangles is a simple triangular shawl that starts with just a few stitches at the center neckline, and increases in pattern to create the triangle shape. Since the knitting is stockinette stitch-based, this design uses a rate of increase that is slightly more than the typical every-other-row rate so that the resulting shape retains a pleasing width-to-length ratio. The main pattern alternates a solid triangle with a lacy triangle. A coordinating edging is used to bind off, as well as create a pretty triangle-shaped finish to the outer edge of the shawl.
