The inspiration for this pattern came from a bit of nostalgia for my childhood in the Rocky Mountains. I grew up around both pine trees and Aspens, and with the changing of the seasons I keep finding myself looking for that bright flash of gold that shimmers in the wind and the long white trees that reach up to the sky. The elks of the rockies are truly a sight to behold and their bugle is both haunting and beautiful. The crow and the moon top the design and the roots of the trees reach deep.
