About the Design: This afghan is styled after the traditional Irish Chain quilt pattern, but with traveling stitches cross-hatching the garter stitch background. This adds visual interest and makes it more interesting to knit. I used Cascade Yarns 128 Chunky Tweed. The tweed flecks adds interest and the chunky yarn weight makes the perfect Fall and Winter weight afghan to curl up under.
