About the Design:
This sweater melds my desire for a traditional Fana sweater with a Japanese Kimono element.
I love the simplicity of the kimono, which seems to want to blend with the simplicity of the Norwegian Fana motifs.
Flattering color placement and a fitted waist make it very wearable and modern.
The sweater is worked flat on a circular needle, to the underarms. Sleeves are picked up and worked to the cuff. The front band is picked up in one piece.
The construction is easy, the short sections of colorwork are melodic, the stockinette stitch is soothing - what more could we want from a sweater design?
I show two colorways - spring and autumn - as one sweater just won't be enough!
