The mild winter set is a quick knit, in worsted yarn, yet the fabric is not heavy. It’s perfect for when the snow is soft and the wind carries the scent of trees waking up and the promise that spring is just around the corner. You can knit it with either of the two colorwork motifs, sushi (shown in adult size), or zigzag (shown in child size). Yardage: The hat requires 40-120 yards of Main Color, 10-30 yards of Contrast Color 1 and 5-10 yards of Contrast Color 2, depending on size. The mitts require 85-90 yards of Main Color, 25-30 yards of Contrast Color 1, and 8-9 yards of Contrast Color 2. Samples were knit in Cascade 220 in colorways: Christmas red, Navy, and Natural.
