About The Design: This pattern began as a hat design – Seaside Serenade – in muted sand and sea colors, then grew to include Sea Glass Serenade, Sunset Serenade, and Autumn Serenade! Adding fingerless mitts for men and women, and mittens for children, rounded out the design. The slip stitch pattern is an easy way to create the look of a stranded color pattern, without ever needing to carry two yarns. The samples are all worked in bulky to slightly super bulky weight wool and (natural fiber) wool blend yarns, for quick knitting. I used a variety of yarns within each hat and mitt – a great way to use up small amounts from your stash!
