This design uses a variegated yarn, with short color lengths, giving a stained glass effect.
Using only 2 yarns also eliminates the need to break and rejoin colors, making the knitting less easier for a knitter who is new to stranding.
This revised pattern has spout and handle openings for a cozy that can remain on the teapot, whilst pouring. The original unspouted pattern is also included - your choice!
These tea cozies are knit in Kraemer Yarns Naturally Nazareth, a soft, domestically-produced, aran weight wool yarn of reasonable cost. One skein each of the two colors will make both tea cozies. The spouted samples are lightly fulled - see Finishing, in the pattern.
