About the Design: I look at all type of textiles for design inspiration. This motif was inspired by a lace pattern, called Springtime, in Marianne Kinzel’s First Book of Modern Lace Knitting. I kept the patterning to the cuff and leg, leaving the foot plain and using the heel stitch pattern on the heel flap, heel turning and the toe shaping! I knit all 3 colorways in Brown Sheep Nature Spun Worsted, an all wool yarn with such wonderful yardage, it knits well as a DK. Size: Woman’s medium
