Two Blue Birds Sampler started as a reproduction of an antique sampler I found at a flea market in Saumur, France. The words down at the bottom say "Gift for Mother". I reproduced it faithfully, but decided that that wasn't what it wanted to be. SoI played and playe and played some more until I finally found a palette and design that | wanted to stitch. I love how it turned out and I hope you do, too! The model is stitched on 40ct Steinbeck by Needle and Flax using the overdyed floss as listed. A conversion to DMC is also provided. Alternative fabrics: This design will look good on many colors. You can use neutrals in the brown/gold range, using darker or lighter colors.
